This work was part of the same project in which the Painterly image project and the Grainy image project were included. The piece appears as a strange set of rainbow lines angled through a frament of broken glass that has a small imperfection in it. The active style of the work helps to keep the viewer involved in the piece and the angular lines add the the tension of it as well. This is another example of a way to create interestingly simple art in relatively little time via Photoshop. This work was created March 13, 2001. Click though to see a larger version of the work.

This work was part of the same project in which the Painterly image project was included. The image is interesting because of the appearance of grain waving in a light breeze created by the use of multiple filters in photoshop. This work was quickly created to fill a small art gallery on the site, but the work still follows some basic rules of good art by showing balance and movement of the eye around the canvas. The use of light and dark helps divide the work, but the curves keep the view involved in the piece. Feel free to post your own comments about this and any other work on this site. I am currently considering starting an artist commentary for this site, where I will be critiquing various web sites and their use of design in the near future. This work was created March 13, 2001. This is a brand new. I made it in about twenty minutes in Photoshop. this is typical of the art that I make in any medium. I like to create something quickly that still represents most design principals. I will be posting more examples of this from my traditional (created non-digitally) portfolio in the future. The work was created January 7, 2005. Click through to see a larger version of the work.

This work was originally a scanned doodle that was taken into Photoshop and manipulated to appear more interesting and complex to the eye. I used it as part of a navagation sequence for a final project housing my portfolio for the semester it was created during. The work was created during the Spring semester of 2001 at the UNO. Since today is the first day of the secular year, I have decided to show you a work I created for the beginning of the Jewish year. This past year my wife and I decided to create a New Year’s card of our own in honor of our first Rosh Hashanah as a married couple. According to Jewish tradition, Rosh Hashanah (head of the year) is the anniversary of the birth of the world. The idea behind the work is to portray the creation in an artistic, yet interesting way. My point of reference specifically is the first day when light and dark were separated. The work was created on September 7, 2004. Click through to see a larger version of the work.

This project was created for my very first Digital Media class while I was a student at UNO. The image creation included use of Photoshop to create a piece of art for use within an image gallery inside of a final project. I used some filters in Photoshop to create almost all of the image. The work starts with random drawings in a Photoshop file. I was instructed to create a Web site to house works created over the course of the semester including my first use of video and Shockwave. I will post those works at a later date. The work was created on March 13, 2001. Click through to see a larger version of the work.

This Flash movie was created for a Digital Media project as part of one of my art classes at UNO. First I used a miniDV camcorder to record the scene. Then I imported the video to Premiere. Next I exported the video to frames and used a Photoshop batch process to edit every frame and optimize them. After that I imported the frames to a Flash movie and preformed an opmtimize bitmap function on each individual frame. I added the play/pause functionality and published the movie. The work originally was part of a larger project relating the idea making process to the artist. The project had a navagation based on my face and the movie would appear with a mirrored verision in the lenses of my glasses. I will post another part of this project later. The work was created during the Spring semester 2002. Click through to see a larger version of the work.
