Whew, that Free for all really took it out of me. Its so hard to think of original thinks to post so i had a mental block yesterday. But here, a search of my iPhoto directory found this artistic texture of a boardwalk. What i really enjoy about pictures like this is the feeling of the texture and how you can almopst touch the paint peeling off the old wood. Feel free to leave me comments about work you would like the see in the future including flash or photoshop designs. The photo was taken January 16, 2005. Today’s photograph depicts a small group of birds fleeing from visitors to the park. The work is successful because of the sense of action shown mixed with the relaxing group of gulls down the rail. I really like how one bird seems to be floating just off center in the image. The photo was taken January 16, 2005. This Friday is Free For All Friday, so please remember to come back to this site to participate. Click through to see a larger version of the work.

Today we have the necessary Valentine’s post. The photo was taken of my wife and myself while wondering the park. This picture shows an entertaining scene of nicely framed shadows. The work is appropriately posted on this the end of Valentine’s because I proposed to my wife on the 15th of February 2002. This photo was taken January 17, 2005. Returning to a serious tone, I’m posting a photo taken while wandering the park. My camera work seems to be dominated by park pictures, I know. My wife and I really like to walk in the park on the weekends to get our taste of nature for the week and this picture seems to show a prime example of that. I’m not going to give my little commentary on the merits of the design. I would really like you to give your own impressions of how the scene works and what could be improved in the piece. And now the obligatory sky photograph. This was taken in Lafrienere Park in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. I really enjoy the way the clouds wisp across the sky. The angularness of the image gives a feeling of tense action to a very calm scene. the expanse of blue helps to clam the viewer and distract them from the entertainment of the jungle gym that is minimized and the bottom of the work. This photo was taken January 17, 2005. Thanks to all the new visitors for the comments, I really enjoy the feedback and hope to get more in the future. Gazing out the back window, our cat seems curious as to the meaning of life. We know this is a farce meant to convince my wife and me to leave her alone. I took this picture late one afternoon when this extremely artistic scene materialized. The white of the cat blends gracefully into the subtile white tones of the blinds and the glow of the window. This is complemented quite nicely by the slight color found outside of the window. This photo was taken January 16, 2005. Click through to see a larger version of the work.

Here I have an interesting scene with a man-made waterfall and the sign that does nothing to keep people from climbing on it. As I came across this image in my iPhoto directory, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the knowledge of how useless the sign must be on any day when others are around. I seem to be in a nature rut lately so I will be posting some city shots in the future. On a side note, I have also decided to switch my book store status to Barnes and Noble in the near future based on their shipping policies and stock, so please wait to purchase anything through this site for a couple of days.
