just heard this via cnn podcast, bush says $2k to every household! so no matter who you are and how much you earned, you will get at least $2000 from fema! good start, but maybe they should have saved the city sooner, then it might not be costing so much!

HOW DO WE GET THE 2G’S?
call the fema number and get in the queue… unfortunately i wouldn’t expect the money within the week but soon…
if you supplied your account information on the FEMA online form, they direct-deposited the $2k within 24-48 hours. it rocked and helped SOOOO much right now (had to rent a house for 6 months :-\ )
