Repetition in ink

Repetition in inkHere was have a reletively old pen and ink on watercolor paper. This project was part of my Design I class at Mississippi State. The class taught me about black and white based artistic design and ways to arrange a work that is pleasing to the eye yet interesting to the mind. This piece used a small one inch square design repeated to create a larger more interesting project. I used an artist pen made by Micron to shade the various parts. The work was created Spring semester, 1998. Click through to see a larger version of the work. Also, I’d like to welcome all who have just discovered this site and encourage you to comment on each piece as you see fit. I plan on taking this site into the future by adding artist critiques of my own and I would love to hear from all of you.
