This picture was taken in a public park’s bird sanctuary. My wife and I had decided to take a walk in the cold Jefferson Parish air of south Louisiana that day. Of course we took our brand new digital camera that her father gave us for Hanukkah. While wandering the park we saw this strange chicken in a tree with an odd poof of feathers on its head. Needless to say, I snapped a picture of this modeling bird for posterity. The work was created on December 24, 2004. Click through to see a larger version of the work.
